---------- Updated to 2.3.1 to fix a couple of things ----------

A new Sytist update (2.3) is now available and some of the changes include:

  • Download Credits More Information

  • A new type of section for Stock/Art photos. More Information

  • Added any booking options selected for a booking calendar service to show on the order in the admin.

  • Added any booking options selected for services to the daily print out from the booking calendar.

  • Added a message to show if all the time slots are booked for a day saying they have all been booked instead of just being blank.

  • Added removing a booking session added to cart after 15 minutes without checking out to help prevent duplicate bookings.

  • Added order status to customer order view

  • Added My Appointments to the My Account section to show upcoming bookings.

And more additions, changes, and fixes.
Click here for the complete change log for this update.

How to update:
The first time each day you log into the admin it will check for the update. If you have already logged into your admin today , then you won't get the notice until tomorrow.

If you are currently using version Sytist 1.0.0 or higher, you can have it check for the update again by clicking on Settings in the main menu. Then scroll down and below the left menu, click MySQL query. Copy the following line of code, paste it in the query box and click run.

UPDATE ms_history SET upgrade_check='';

Then return to your admin home page.

If the auto update feature won't work for you for some reason, you will have to manually update.

When using the auto update from the admin and it seems to hang when trying to unzip, then the ZIP functions are probably not enabled in the PHP on your hosting. You can contact your host and ask them to enable the ZIP functions in PHP.

Great update!

Is the "My Appointments" section for clients supposed to show anything other than the appointment title, date and time? I put a lot of important information in the Options section and it doesn't seem to display.

"Changed when using the passcode photos and entering in a passcode in a gallery, it will only search for the passcode within that gallery instead of all galleries (in case the same passcode is used for photos in other galleries)"

Could you explain this more?

Does this mean that my school customers now have to go a gallery link just for their school rather than a general search box that will cover all schools?

If so, that will complicate things for me quite dramatically, especially in materials given to customers, and will prevent me from being able to update to 2.3.

Surely it's easier to ensure that passcodes are not repeated which I can do very easily (and I have a great deal of these)?

Paul, it does just show the date, time and what was booked.

Kris, it only restricts if someone is entering in their passcode when in the gallery. If they enter it in from the find my photos like on the home page, it will search all photos / galleries.

Tim, that's what I mean - it only shows the date, time and title of the session. It doesn't show all of the additional information from the booking "options", etc.

Ahh, OK, thanks Tim.

I misunderstood.

Hi Tim! GREAT update! Thanks!
But there's a small issue with the download credits / saving stock photos. When a customer saves stock photos, and those photos are deleted from the server, they still appear in the saved photos (or the total saved photos count). May be a bug?
And is it possible for an admin to add download credits? Sometimes the redeem download credits link doesn't appear in de My Account page of the customer.

Hello Tim,
Some how my calendar has changed with this update.
Love that you fixed the duplicate booking dates.

But the problem I have is that I charge for a session. They are able to book it and pay online or mark they will pay later.
The calendar would invoice them and when I checked the date for bookings it would be red if they did not pay.
Now it does not work. It come out with

Sorry, but the booking in your cart has expired and has been removed from your cart.
And you have nothing in your cart. All in red.
If I get rid of required payment it does not even allow for payment.

Loyd, I just put out a follow-up update to fix the booking from automatically deleting (a time zone issue for some).

Marcel, in the follow-up update I fixed the wrong count for saves after you delete a photo.

Currently not possible to assign download credits to an account. The redeem download credits option shows when there are available download credits redeem codes. So if you don't see the option in My Account, then there are no available redeem codes.

Hello Tim,
Now it allows me to add a date on the calendar but doesn't invoice the amount of the session.

Hi Tim,

Thank for the update, the stock photo section is a great addition!
Just wonder, at the stock photos landing page, is there a way NOT to display all the images below the categories thumbnail?
Meaning the stock photo landing page will only show the categories and the images will only shown up after the visitor click on the respective gallery which they are interested in.
I think it will be a lot neater that way and help to reduce loading time too :)

Currently no option to not show all images on the main page, but something I am planning on adding.
