Create-a-package From List Of Items

I've set up two collections that use a product where the client can choose a size. The first collection allows them to choose 3 sheets of a single image and the second allows them to choose 4 or more sheets of multiple images. 

The multiple image collections works as expected: the package is added to the card and then the client is prompted to add photos and sizes for the 4 sheets.  

The problem is with the 3 sheet option.  The package is added with the single image, but no size is selected for the items.  The only way I can manage to select the sizes for these products is to remove them from the cart and then I  am prompted to choose the size.  

Am I doing something wrong?  Is there a way to have the client automatically prompted for the sizes without opening it up to multiple images?

Since it is a one pose package, the photo is automatically added to all products and you won't have the option to select the options for those products.

You would need to create 3 options for the collection itself, one for each pose, for the customer to select the sheet configurations for those included products.
