I have a stylist install running on cpanel/whm on centos on a Amazon EC2 instance using Amazon SES for email
I can send mail from cpanel/webmail to varified ses recipients, but I can't get stylist to email the same recipient using phpmail() I get no feedback and can't find any relevant log with info as to why. and using smtp phpmailer with the generated credentials result in connection failure.
can someone shed some light as to how to get this working, we paid for the stylist installation and it can't send emails.
Thank you

When an email is sent from Sytist, Sytist calls the function to send the email and then it is up to the server to deliver the email.

Here is the troubleshooting guide for emails:
https://www.picturespro.com/sytist-manual/common-issues/emails-not-sending-or-going-into-spam-folders/

Please review the entire thing and it includes instructions on setting up PHP mailer.

I have recently starting having issues w emails being delivered as well after 5+ years of smooth sailing. I understand it is likely a host issue but am desperately hoping someone here can help me out.

The emails that are landing in my spam folder say

This message does not pass authentication checks (SPF and
DKIM both xxx do not pass). SPF check for [flatlandsfoto.com] does
not pass with xxx ip: [xxx

Going thru my cpanel under email deliverability on my host it shows the DKIM and SPF as valid as well as the reverse DNS as valid.

It seems there is an option to use a google workspace on my server but for a fee of course. Im hoping that is not something I need to have to have clients receive my emails.

Not all emails are landing in my spam folder and I believe some of my clients are receiving the emails I send. I dont remember if I have a PHP mailer. I know there were issues when I initially set up the website. Any advice on what to do next would be greatly appreciated.

Get with your host about that. That is a server thing.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. In theory anyway, customer service at my host has now reset both SPF and DKIM. Fingers crossed it is all set now.
