For the overall design on all pages, including the header & main menu you will use the theme editor (Design -> all themes).
https://www.picturespro.com/sytist-manual/site-design/theme-editor/
To design individual pages like the homepage, you will use the Page Designer which has design elements to add to the page:
https://www.picturespro.com/sytist-manual/site-design/advanced-page-design-page-templates/
I don't think you can accomplish what you want but maybe something close with the page designer .

I received your link. That site is using the CLF Display on the homepage.

Hi Tim, hi all.
trying to follow the video to use the CLF but i don't see all the settings and i become (i think therefor) an error on my home when CLF is activated...
here the settings i see:

and here the error on my homepage:
"Fatal error: Uncaught mysqli_sql_exception: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') ORDER BY date_date DESC, date_time DESC' at line 1 in /home/clients/fb77e01105efeead126abb9b4cdc617a/photo/sy-inc/functions.core.php:108 Stack trace: #0 /home/clients/fb77e01105efeead126abb9b4cdc617a/photo/sy-inc/functions.core.php(108): mysqli_query(Object(mysqli), 'SELECT *,date_f...') #1 /home/clients/fb77e01105efeead126abb9b4cdc617a/photo/sy-inc/show/show-functions.php(123): whileSQL('ms_calendar LEF...', '*,date_format(d...', 'WHERE date_id>'...') #2 /home/clients/fb77e01105efeead126abb9b4cdc617a/photo/sy-inc/show/show.php(31): getfeatureddates(Array) #3 /home/clients/fb77e01105efeead126abb9b4cdc617a/photo/sy-main.php(1479): require('/home/clients/f...') #4 /home/clients/fb77e01105efeead126abb9b4cdc617a/photo/index.php(3): require('/home/clients/f...') #5 {main} thrown in /home/clients/fb77e01105efeead126abb9b4cdc617a/photo/sy-inc/functions.core.php on line 108"
for sure i'm making something wrong but...
thx a lot

You can email me the following for me to look into it. Sounds like no categories selected:
1) The link / URL to your Sytist admin (where you log into your Sytist admin).
2) The admin username and password (or create me an admin account by clicking Admins in the upper right corner of the admin pages).
