Hi
What hosting company do you use and why? I recently started having the issue of photos having errors at uploading and it is because Godaddy now limits you on how fast you can upload. I have had go daddy for ever and this year is the first year it is effecting my uploading of photos. its very annoying to have several photos not upload. First is there a smart FTP I can use that can slow down the upload and make sure all files upload? I use lightroom direct ftp right now. If no smart ftp exists who has the bests deal on data I have a ton of files on it that i dont want to just delete so I need a ton of space.
thanks
Sylvia

In the 19 years we have had a website I have tried many hosts. BlueHost is by far the best I've found. Been with them for quite a few years.

Hi all Happy Christmas
Here in the UK I used 123-reg until this year when I had a major problem with not being able to upload any images they claimed it was my fault after 3 weeks of argument (Tim was a major help with this thank you Tim) I changed to SiteGround and have not regretted it at all. My whole website was transferred in two hours with no problems any support call is answered within minutes by people who now how to communicate and know what they are taking about. They have also set high upload limit so I can upload Hi res images if I want to. So SiteGround comes highly recommended by me.
Best wishes
Paul.

I absolutely recommend saratogahosting.com. I would also take advantage of Amazon S3 for storage, we're talking pennies per month.
One of the biggest advantages of saratogahosting.com is the servers are load balanced, meaning the performance is about that of a VPS. Not to mention the support is first class.
Don't get stuck with those no limits on anything services. There are limits, it's just almost too late when you discover them.

i do like saratoga but i have 200k files and 18 gigs on go daddy right now i have to go the 25-35 per monthth to just transfer over I guess I have a hard time deleting photos so i do like the unlimited factor companies so I just dont worry about it although I dont intend to upload a huge amount

Sylvia, you can go with a smaller package from saratogahosting and store your images on amazon S3.
If it were me I would store my images on S3 no matter who my host is. They are dirt cheap for storage and lighting fast serving images. That way it doesn't matter what size your hosting plan is.
BTW, there no unlimited hosts. They may not limit space but they do limit number of files. Also, as many on this forum can attest, if your usage goes up too high, strange things start to happen. Most of the time the strange or problem things happen at the worst possible time.

It's all built into Sytist. Just set up your s3 account and then update sytist.
You can then update each gallery or you can update at the time of upload. But for your current galleries, just open them and click on move to s3. Now you can move to any host you want at any time you want, and not have to worry about moving all the galleries.
