Expired Green Screen Galleries Showing Green Screen Selection

Hi Tim.
Is it possible not to to trigger the Green Screen galleries splash screen when entering a passcode for an expired gallery without changing the gallery type within in the Admin?
At the moment, we still get the ... "Use the 'Change Background' option below to select a different background..." on first load, even the though the gallery has expired.
