Hello,

we have set up SMTP PHPMailer successfully. Test eMails are going out. We do receive Booking request but no Forms, regardless if Setup by [FORM] or by Page Designer. Of Course, we have checked, that within the Page Designer we've choosen the right form (we have only one).

Fortunately we can see the customers request in the eMail log and do not loose them. But I really have no idea what's the reason for that behavior ..

Any ideas?

Appendix:
Is there a logfile we can look into?

Those emails are sent like all other with the exception that the "from" email address is your and the "reply-to" email address is the one the person enters in.

If you see the emails in Stats -> Email Logs, then Sytist is doing it's part. From there it is up to the server to send it out.

First check your spam folder for them.

Second, check your form and make sure the email address field is actually selected to be an email field by editing the field.

If you still don't get them, then maybe your host can trace those emails.

Tim,

thanks a lot. The eMail address field was selected to be an email field. There are no eMails in Spam and the eMail IS visible in Stats -> eMail Log BUT the Sender is the one the Person enters in and the Receiver is mine (not as you described). If this is true, then I can understand, why the eMails wont be sent. Office365 wont sent mails with a spoof From-Adress. Is there anything we can adjust?

Regards,

Lucas

The From email address does show who it is from, but technically it is sending "From" your email address. This is done to 1) actually help the emails get through (sending from an email address that is not associated with the website will most likely go to spam or get blocked) and 2) in case of a bounced email.

You might be able to make rules in Office365 to make them go through.

I already considered to solve this issue by Setting up Rules in Office365, but I cannot find those unsent message to check which rule is needed. Is there a way to trace whats going on? When sending a test-email within Sytist there is a nice smtp-log, but as described, the test eMail is sucessfully.

Now as a Workaround I have changed the Form: The eMail-Field is no longer a eMail-Field but a Text Field. So the Sender is empty and emails are sent.

You might be able to trace the emails in your hosting control panel. Look for the mail section. If not, your host should be able to trace them for you.
