Calendar - Additional Time Option Not Reserving Time

Hi Tim! I'm attaching a screenshot of an issue I've noticed ... unfortunately for me this is already "live" so I am working a bit extra-hard to get photos done at the right pace, but what's happening is:

I set up a booking schedule with 7 minute appointments and only allowing 1 booking per time slot. There is an "option" on the booking to have a larger group, which reserves an extra 7 minutes or an extra 14 minutes depending on how big their group is.

As you can see, the calendar shows that they chose the option for an additional 14 or 21 minutes but still accepts a booking 7 minutes later. Have I set something up wrong or is this a bug?

... I may have discovered the 'bug', if you will. The issue has to do with the session length not being enforced when options are used to make the appointment longer.

On my calendar, if a session is available at 3:00 and someone books a session with an 'option' to add an extra 14 minutes, then the calendar will only allow the next booking at 3:21 as it should.

If, however, a session has been previously booked at 3:07, a client can still book at the 3:00pm time slot AND add on the extra time options which then causes a conflict with the 3:07 session. The system does not prevent choosing an 'option' that causes a conflict with a previously booked session.

The problem is they are selecting the times before the options so the additional times in the options don't reflect. I have to rewrite a lot of the booking calendar to accommodate it. Just got to get my brain in that mode to do it.

So you're possibly thinking of changing the order so they choose the session options before they choose the time? That could work for sure - but I feel some sympathy as I can see it could be a lot of work to patch up.

Yeah this is definitely a considerable problem that requires a complete overhaul of the booking system where the steps would be different. I ran into the time issue about a year or so back, and figure one day Tim will jump in and put together something great. For now, I find that I just leaving a larger buffer will work, and once you confirm the session, you can shrink the time down. It's a bit of a hassle, but a good temporary solution.
