Not sure if this is a bug or an error on my site, but...
I have created main categories and sub-categories.
While the categories display in the proper hierarchy for client viewing, in the admin, the category hierarchy displays wrong. (See screenshot)
For example, I have the categories:
Client Galleries --> Commercial
Client Galleries --> Portraits
Client Galleries --> Parties and Events
I created a new page in "Client Galleries --> Portraits"
But in the list of categories in the admin when creating pages shows the categories listed like this:
Client Galleries --> Commercial
Client Galleries --> Commercial --> Portraits
Client Galleries --> Commercial --> Parties and Events
Anyway, it all seems to be working, but it just looks strange on the backend.

Hey Darin. looks like you have other issues happening on the UI side as well. Check your link. you may want to fix this as well. Not sure if they are related.

Yes, that site is not my Sytist site. It's an older proofing system that I am not using anymore. I had to delete a bunch of files off the server due to having way too many nodes.
But thanks for pointing that out.
My Sytist site is https://fongphotography.onli ne

I am unable to duplicate that. I will test in a couple of other installations to see if I can.

Thanks for looking into it.
If it helps, the only sub category I have set for Client Galleries --> Commercial is "SDGE". All the other subcategories listed under Client Galleries --> Commercial are not supposed to be there.
Let me know if you need any MySQL tables/data.
