Hey Tim, is there an area in the Theme Editor where I can change the look of the buttons or tabs (for the different product groups) in the shopping cart area?
Alternately is there some custom CSS I could use? I'm wondering about making the text bold or perhaps changing the active / inactive tab colours.

Those tab colors are controlled by the form button colors. See this:
