I don't know why but something that I have noticed on my site is that fact when a user logs in, using the popup login form, the website registers that they in fact logged in but when they click on "my account" it logs them out and it displays the login page again. Any insight into what maybe causing this?

In your Sytist admin, go to Settings -> Checkout & Payment.
Under "Secure Pages On Checkout & Accounts", for the Fixed SSL link, I think you have a link in there. Remove that.
What happens, if you are on the site here:
https://mattmichellephotography.com/
Then the secure link goes to here:
https://www.mattmichellephotography.com/
And the swapping of with www. and without www. causing it to lose the session.
