Special Characters Like () Are No More Accepted In Keywords.

Hi Tim,

I noticed that for some months some characters like ()- are no longer accepted in keywords.
It just cuts of.
I had the same issue some time ago with é, è, etc ...
Problem now is people can't search their pictures because a part of the keyword is missing.

Thank you for looking into this.

Just tested (keyword) [keyword] and both accepted and searchable when uploading through the upload form.

How exactly are you uplaoding and they are not being accepted?

Hi Tim, thank you for looking into this so fast.

I just uploaded a picture (normal way: go to gallery, upload photos, select picture)
in this galery I just did the test with the picture attached: https://www.sportinbeeld.be/sportbeelden/recentste...

searching on 'test' finds it, searching on 'partoens' didn't find it.
You only find other pictures where I changed the ( and ) into - and reuploaded it, replacing the file. Just becaus customers would find it.

Or there is maybe another problem I don't see...

Thank you!

It is the same thing as last year when you had special characters in your keywords. In 2023 I added to reject keywords that contain special characters in the upload process. Last year I added : for you to not reject those.

Now you have ( ) & / in your keywords and those are being rejected. I have added to accept those characters now during the upload process.

You can send me an email so I can reply with a file you can upload that contains that change.

Hi Tim,

Okay, yes, that might be around the same time.
Sorry if I put you in a difficult position.
We'll communicate later by email.
Thanks!
