Outbound Webhook Or Api Access For New Bookings

We’re working on automating our studio workflow and need to know whether Sytist supports outbound webhooks (i.e., a way for Sytist to send data when a new booking is created).

Our goal is to automatically push booking data—client name, session type, date/time, location, and add-ons—from Sytist into Airtable and Google Calendar, and to trigger follow-up emails through Gmail.

I understand that Sytist can receive webhooks from other apps (like Mailchimp or Twilio), but I haven’t found documentation showing whether it can send them. If it can’t, is there any supported method (API, email parser, cron output, etc.) for exporting booking data automatically at the time of booking?

We’d like to avoid manually re-entering data or relying only on email notifications if there’s a cleaner way to automate the process.

In short, here’s what we’re hoping for:

  • A URL Sytist can POST booking data to (in JSON or form format) when a booking is made
  • Or, an API endpoint we can query for new bookings on a schedule

Any information or recommendations on how best to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

***Info request most definitely generated by chatgpt as that is the AI the company we are working with in this process uses. Also open to any suggestions one might have for what we are trying to accomplish.

Yes you can do that, not natively in Sytist though without having to expose db. CRON jobs are the worst to setup automations and are prone to BOT scrapings all the time! However you can Zapier ( I use n8n) to poll data for every new row added somewhere in any of the mysql tables, you need to than be able to construct a query to pull the necessary data from several tables from your sytist db. We do use Airtable as well. In a nutshell you need a 'messenger' between sytist and the rest of the world of apps. Good luck!

There is no option in Sytist to do that. You may jsut want to use a better booking calendar.

Berti - We opted to go with Make instead of Zapier or n8n as it was recommended over the other two because of what we were trying to do. I'm hoping to get as much upfront automation as I can so that we can focus on other things.

Tim - is there a booking calendar system that integrates with Sytist?

Right now we are going to use Make to trigger automations once specific emails hit our inbox, since the booking emails contain all the info it would need. I'm also looking for holes in our current process and how we can fill them and be as efficient as possible!

There is no booking calendar to work within Sytist. You can link to an external booking service.
