Egift Cards

I am finding that egfit card emails to the recipient are not being sent.  I tested it this morning sending a gift card to my gmail account but I never received it.  I got the transaction email, and I got the email that someone had purchased an gift card but I did not receive the gift card?

Those emails are sent like all others. Check the recipient email address. If you are testing , use another email address.

No.  they are definitely not sending for me.  Copied and pasted the email address entered and sent a test message to it a got it, but not through as an egift

I have tried everything I can think of and it is still not sending for me.  I tried the demo. site too but I am not sure if that would send a test gift card anyway.  

I can verify that sending a gift card works in version 5.25, but it does not work for me in version 5.42.  I have identical cron job setup other than website address.  I have identical formatting in the gift card styling.  I have identical PHP versions.  All other emails are sent but not the gift card!

I checked the mail logs and the cron job seems to be sending the email for the gift certificates, but they must not be passing something somewhere as I don't receive them.  The are also being passed by the older version of sytist I have - and for some reason I am getting those while not the newer version.

Anyway that led me to think that everything is working but there is some external reason while I am not getting the certificate emails but all others.  So I tried swapping over from php mail() to PHPMailer and bingo - now I am getting the gift card emails along with all the other mail sent from sytist.  YEAH!
