Migration Help

I'm trying to get my website back up. I'm changing hosting providers. I zipped files and folders, and exported the database. Apparently my files and folders back up is corrupted. Since my website is down, I cannot purchase and install an update. I guess I'm wondering (a) how I get the version my site had when I upgraded last (February 23, 2024) and (b) I've imported my database back up. Can I use that, as I hope it has all my settings. Once my website is back up, then I can purchase an update.

Thanks!

Here are the instructions on moving Sytist to a new host

I believe there is a 4GB zip file limit on servers so you probably won't be able to unzip it on the server.

You will have to download all the folders and files via FTP then re-upload them via FTP to the new server.

I would suggest downloading all except the sy-photos folder. After you get it back up, then download the sy-photos folder and upload it to the new server.

My zip file is corrupted, and I no longer have access to my files. I have my database exported. I assume that has all the settings in it? Is it possible to get sytist back-up with just that database export?

Thanks!

You won't be able to get it completely back up with just the database, but it will have your settings, products, pricing, orders, etc...

But it will also have a lot of stuff broken like pages, categories, sections, photos , etc...

So a lot will have to be deleted directly from the database.

Might be best to install from scratch then import your existing database into another database. Then export tables of data from the old into the new database.

You can go to the My Account section here and view the order you originally purchased Sytist on and follow the link to purchase the upgrade. Then you can download the installation files from that same order.
