Template 4 Issue

I am wanting to use the template 4 on my website.  I have imported it to my home page and everything looks fine until the page is viewed on a iPad.  the images become really pixellated and enlarged that you cannot see the image properly when holding the iPad horizontal.  it only happens in th landscape orientation the vertical displays the full height of the image but horizontal shows a very minute part of the upper right portion.  this issue also affects the demo site you have.  I was wondering if there could be a css fix to this

the page works fine on my iPhone.  probably something around css max-width and adjusting when to switch
