when our clients go to checkout with their credit card, the system does not move forward from there.

It just sits on the cc page and you try to continue and it does nothing.

We tried ourselves also.

thanks

I see some declined transactions in the logs, but they would be shown a message it was declined.

I just tested on another side a successful and an unsuccessful transaction and both worked as expected.

I also see some successful purchases with card you  have had the last couple of days.

If you know of it happening again, I will need the IP address of the user to check the logs.

When you tried, did you have a correct email address?

What time did you try?

I see some error that indicates an invalid email address.

It has been at different times of the day and evening

when we tried I know the email address was correct.

I am pretty sure the email would be correct.

when you press continue it just does nothing no error given or anything

This is strange we have never had a problem like this

would deleting payment information and re establishing it do any good?

"would deleting payment information and re establishing it do any good?"

No, it won't.

Please try another test again. When you do, let me the exact time you tried and the account name or IP address the cart is under.

Log into your PayPal account.

After you do, click here to go to the PayPal developer page

Be sure it is set to live.

Are there any errors under the recent error logs?

Is this the button you are clicking? And clicking that doesn't open the window?

That's odd because you are still on the PayPal site at that time and will be on the PayPal side.

Do you receive the payment into your PayPal account?

I wonder if it has something to do with you having a PayPal account and you trying to pay yourself. There might be a message saying to log into your PayPal account in that window.

Hello Sytist Support Team,

Several of my customers have reported that they are unable to complete payments using their credit cards. Over the past four days, I have received direct complaints from five individuals experiencing this issue. I’m unsure how many others may have encountered the same problem without reaching out.

Could you please look into this matter and check if there is a technical issue affecting credit card payments? I would appreciate it if you could let me know what the problem is and how it can be resolved.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards, Josef Bollwein

no it is not asking to log into paypal

I have tried with different email addresses not tied to paypal

We have other galleries that this is happening in as well now

Is there some technical issue with credit card payments?

We have tried everything we can think of

Thank you

Pamela

Josef:

is it the same payment option in the screen in a few posts up?

And started before the last update?

And can you email me the email address for your PayPal account and the "Client ID" from your PayPal Checkout settings (Settings -> Checkout & Payment).

Sam:

is the email address you use with your PayPal account the @gvtc.com one? If it is different, please email it to me.

I will contact PayPal tech and have them check into it.

This happened without any changes to anything.

Tim,

I was looking for something different on here and saw this threat. I do have had numerous clietns complain they can not complete payment with the credit card option, that it won't let them complete the transaction or place an order. Nothing on my PayPal front has changed.

Below is the last update from PayPal I received.

Enabling the Hosted Card Fields in your PayPal settings in Sytist should remedy the issue (where it puts the credit card form fields directly on the page at checkout).

Here are instructions on enabling that plus Google Pay & Apple Pay in your PayPal account.

PayPal's last response:

This appears to relate to a known issue with the continue button UI when the customer's address is passed during order creation. Our product development team is currently working on the issue. I have provided them with this sample to assist in their efforts. Once I hear back with an update or a timeline for the fix I will notify you through this ticket.

Has a remedy for this been found yet?  I'm still having issues with clients getting this message:

"Sorry, but your transaction was not successful. Try again if you believe this was in error. If you continue to have problems, please contact use with the following response: Response:"

Also - when I try to pay on my phone with apple pay, I get a fatal error message.

Also  - when I try to pay with venmo, i get an error message from venmo that says "something went wrong.  go back to merchant and try again"
