When trying to copy the database backup to my computer I get the message "No permissions". I am logged on as the administrator.

The permission message would be a message coming from the server, not Sytist.

Either the file didn't actually generate (due to PHP system() function being disabled or some other server restriction), has non public file permissions  or the server rejecting due to file type.

If the file did generate you can download it by accessing the file with a FTP program or the file manager in your HOSTING control panel. It

It will be in the /sy-misc/database_backups/ folder.
