Preorder Sales And Digital Product Delivery? Without All Images Upload

I asked this around a year ago 

Is there a way for a customer to preorder a package that contains a digital file and to use Sytist to deliver the digital.

On Teams we are preorder and pick the best shot and deliver that (print or digital). I do not want the customer to come back to pick out the pose. I want to upload the image to the order in sytist and send them the link to download. (Like I do with action shots, when I replace the ordered for the order before sending).

I didn't if there is some way of doing this now with all the new QR features and such?
We use barcodes to track the images in or current system.

A new option added a few versions ago for pre-orders "Customers will return later to select photos for ONLY PRE-ORDERED DOWNLOADS to download those photos."

This allows you to upload the photos, they will select their photos for their pre-purchased downloads, checkout at $0.00 and download their photos.
