External Link Doesnt Work?

I don't know if it's just me but ive never been able to get this to work on my website:

"Entering in an external link here, when someone goes to this page, they will be re-directed to this link. Example, enter in http:///www.picturespro.com, when someone goes to this page, they will not see this page but be re-directed to http://www.picturespro.com"

I enter a website, save, close, try it and all I ever get is the blank page of my site ( im trying to make it a google form redirect ).  I've just abandoned in the past, and opted for "embed" but the iframe is a bit clunkier than a redirect.

It only works when clicking from a list gallery pages. It won't redirect by simply visiting the page. There is not an option for that.

It's a prompt on a Top Level Page.

I'm trying to redirect to a google form as the "embed" alternative here doesn't work cleanly on a mobile phone, but obviously would rather direct people to www.mysite/googleform than giving them a direct link to a google form that might seem less trustworthy.
