Bold Function Not Working In Page Designer

When I edit text in page designer - the option to bold text is not working when trying to apply it to normal text.  It will work with headings. ...

It just means in a paragraph I cannot make bold any important point I want to stand out.

Is anyone else experiencing this ?

Not sure if this will help, but I have been having the same issue when creating a gallery description.

I eventually just started writing the code for bold "" in the html (page code) by using/clicking the <> (html button)

To get this . . 

1. The fundraising period for this gallery will finish  Midnight, Wednesday the 21st May.. Please ensure you have placed and paid for your order in good time . . 

I inserted <strong> and </strong> in the html before and after the words I want bolded, leaving all the other code alone :)

ie.

"The fundraising period for this gallery will <strong>Midnight, Wednesday the 21st May</strong>. Please ensure you have placed and paid for your order in good time"

Not Ideal, but a work around for gallery descriptions I use.

Does CTRL+B work? (highlight text then shortcut for bold).

Or maybe the text is already bold?

Or the font being used doesn't have a bold option?
