Hey Tim,

Not sure what dictates when an admin is logout or has to resign back in, but is there a way to change the amount of time between admin's getting logged off automatically and having to Log back in?  Thanks.

The PHP session timeout value.
session.gc_maxlifetime in php.ini file.
The default PHP session timeout is 24 minutes (1440 seconds).
You or your web host can increase that value.

Where's the php.ini file?

I can view it from the dashboard, but when I search for it with CPanel, there are no hits.

Thanks.

You will have to edit it through the file manager in your HOSTING control panel or have your host do it. It is a server file, not a Sytist file.

It's actually in "public_html/sy-config.php". I went nuts looking for php.ini. ;)

So, to modify the session.gc_maxlifetime value, do I move it below the "//" comment
line? I'll make a copy of the original value by making it a comment. Can I make it a comment
where it is, or do I have to move that line to underneath the "//" line, too?

My Googling shows a max value of 65535 seconds (18-ish hours?).
I've also seen posts stating that value can be higher, and other posts saying a higher value might invalidate the session.

Thanks, Tim.
