Email Errors
We send out emails for galleries who sports leagues parents get digital downloads. We sent out a group of emails today and it shows it sent the email 8 times per person.
What version of Sytist and how did you send out the emails? With the People tab within the gallery or some way else?

Even the automated ones for the galleries are sending out multiple in the email log and we haven't changed any settings with the emails. We have the 4.9.4 And yes we do the people tab and add them individually who get a digital file.
Here is the screenshot of the email log. The emails say they're even going out at the same time each person.
I can't duplicate this issue.
And those emails don't appear to be automated emails. If you add emails to the People tab and automated emails is enabled, it would send that way and the email log would have a gray vertical bar at the begging of the row.
Are you changing the default email and if so, are you adding the emails before or after you change the default email?
Is it possible the emails were added multiple times?
Are there people lists in the People tab?
And are they the same as you are adding emails to notify of download?

These specifically are ones we sent out and manually type per person who orders included a digital copy and we change the default to be the same message for everyone. But we also have automated ones that went out for galleries that had multiple of the same email addresses. I can attach a screenshot if needed for those. We always change the default to what we need to send out before typing the email addresses since it's an as needed per order. Some do have the grey bar in the front. No, the emails we type in these people would not be in the people's tab since they wouldn't know when their image was available to download until we sent the email.
Are you doing a copy and paste into the email address field or typing them individually in?
If it is a copy / paste, can you screenshot that and email it to me?

We hand type each email.
It's also duplicating the automated emails sent out by the website for booking reminders etc.
Do you have multiple cron jobs set up in your hosting control panel?
This issue is very specific to you. I can't duplicate any issues and it does a lot of checking before adding emails to the queue.

I mean cron jobs set up on the server that makes the automated emails work. You would have set them up in your HOSTING control panel.

We're still having issues and were waiting with GoDaddy, but we see a path for the CRON file under automated messages, but how to we update or make changes? The path is also having (picture in above comments) tpphoto2 which we don't have that 2 in any of our website information or login.
I didn't realize you are hosting at godaddy, that's probably the issue there. I no longer can recommend them for hosting because they have so many issues.
But added in the recent 5.0 update:
- Added a check in automated emails to see if an automated email has been sent to an email address (other than the admin email address) within the last 2 hours and if so it will not send the email and delete it from the queue to help prevent multiple emails going out due to network or server issues.
- Added an extra check if an email address is already pending in gallery notices and Automated Emails and not add a duplicate.

Ok...I have been with you before Sytist was launched on Picture Pros 14 years ago. Go Daddy is who you recommended at that time and I event paid you to setup the site on their end. Had not issues and until lately.
I am getting ready for our busy season and I see this....? If I were to switch hosting, do you still offer site setup on Saratoga?
Please adivise since I have renewals coming up for my site.

Disregard the previous message. Thank you for the update about godaddy. I did look on Saratoga's site and have reached out to them about getting everything moved to them and read that they will help with the integration.
