Taking Screenshot Of Qr Instead Of Photographing It?

Does Sytist use the filename or capture time when searching for QR codes?  My current process is very similar to Sytist's approach, except I generate my own QR codes and then run a LR plugin to search for them and "tag" them in the keyword field.  Rather than moving the camera to shoot a mobile device or having someone (or the subject) hold up a piece of paper, I just screen shot the QR codes on my phone.  I then dump those screen shots into my main gallery of client images.  I'm sure to sync my camera time with my phone time so that the screen shots of the QRs appear in the correct places in front of the subject photos.  Hoping that same process would work here.  I find it eliminates the possibility of a misread QR code because it's a screen shot instead of a photo of a QR from paper or LCD screen.

Only if they are in the same order by file name. The QR passcode it captured during upload and they have to be in the right order. If it is not in the right order by filename it won't work.

Gotcha.  So it sounds like I may need to write a script to rename everything (photos and screenshots) in a standard format using the capture time as part of the filename so that they sort correctly by both filename and capture time.  Thanks Tim!

Thanks for asking this William - I have used QR Codes in a similar way ( rather than on site ).

I'd love to know what you come up with?
