Yes I need help making it work again

Hello Tim,

Having the same problem. Not getting emails, or orders. I am getting payment from Authorize.net but don't know what it is for. My customer says that after they put in the credit card information the screen goes blank. So some are ordering again so we have to credit their accounts.

Last Friday I was told to change the Php version? and I did change back to 8.1.

Did update today and ran an order through and it gave me a blank screen also.

I applied the upgrade earlier today.

I am still not getting any emails from inside sytist to my email address that sytist has as my default admin email address.

I AM getting emails from other people to that email address.

I STILL need more help to figure out how to make it wwork properly

Oh just realized this is happening to me too - not getting emails when someone requests a time, orders etc. Not sure when it started, I did update as well.

Hello Tim,

I have also updated today and yesterday. Just walked a customer through on the phone.

And Authorize.net takes their money, but their order stays in the cart and we don't get the order in sytest.

Shoot, the last client email that shows as read was almost 2 weeks ago - I sent myself a test client email to a different email and it didn't deliver so yikes, it looks like clients haven't been getting info for some time. I moved it back to PHP8 and nothing changed. EDIT: I had been using PHP7.4 because my other site was old - I moved over to 8.0 around this time frame so it tracks that it's connected but 7.4 is not supported so I can't go back...

I have not upgraded and just realized after seeing this thread and checking that my emails are not going out either.

In the past 2 weeks I have been having customers saying they have not received my order confirmations and just figured they went to spam and wasn't worried.

I am receiving to my email the notification of orders and the contact email.

The logs show they are going out to customers and I have tried several different personal emails with no luck.

Looks like everything stopped right around Valentines day - I can't believe it took me so long to realize, I have been working on redoing my websites every free moment so just distracted. No wonder no one has been paying invoices or session fees!

Curious what server/host everyone is using if you’re having this problem? I am on Ionos (have been with them for maybe years, previously 1and1).

If you are hosting at Ionos they have disabled the mail() function so you will have to use the PHPMailer option. Instructions for SMTP PHPMailer on this page. You also have to be using Sytist 4.8.2 or higher.

Above is the error I get when sending a test email after setting up the SMTP settings in sytist

That means mail.stockmanphoto.com is not the correct mail server / host name. You will need to ask your hosting company for the SMTP hostname to use for PHPMailer.

I have tried switching to SMTP. No joy.

I really have to question why so many folks suddenly have the same issue, and on different hosting sites.

The only correlating data point is Sytist.

Like I said, I did not update, and not sure if that will fix the issue or not. I am on 4.5.5 and changed nothing. Suddenly no emails.

I will try to get with my hosting company and see if we can sort it out and update with what we find out.

I got it figured out and the test email seems to have worked.

If anyone with ionos might need help I am willing to show you what I did to make it work.

email me at - stockmanphoto@gmail.com - in case the chris@stockmanphoto.com decides to break again

I lied.

I dont have it figured out yet.

I was able to get the emails to go to myself but none of them can get sent out to my clients as a email order confirmation

I now believe this is due to the SPF stupidity that google and other email servers have implemented

I use Ionos (i'm uk based) and I'm having email issues out of sytist for the last few weeks.

I was using the PHP mailer which stopped working on 12th Feb. but now switched to SMTP and it works.

Here's a link to the instructions for sorting out the SPF issue. You need to do it witjhin your Ionos control panel.
