Php Mailer Is Discontinued By Host And Smtp Won't Work!

My email worked fine until about a week ago. Now my host has discontinued the PHP mail function and I cannot get my SMTP to work through Sytist. I get this error message.
I have installed an SMTP plugin to my wordpress site to test and check the settings. It connects and sends emails perfectly using the exact same settings as I put into Sytist.
I've tried TLS 587 and SSL 465, I've also tried STARTTLS 587. The host also got me to try SSL 25
What can I do next to get back to sanity? Thanks in advance

I don't think the current integration of PHPMailer is compatible with PHP 8 which you might be running. If you can change it to PHP 7.4 it might resolve it.

7.4 is no longer supported by Ionos and is now an extra cost for extended support. I'd prefer a solution that doesn't cost me an extra £7 per month.
I'm currently on PHP 8.1 and i rolled back to 8.0 but it made no difference.
I'll see if I can update it in the next upgrade coming out soon.

I am also with Ionis and stopped getting emails a couple weeks ago.
I did change back to php 7.4 but that does not resolve the emails not going out any longer.
I do get emails forwarded to me that are addressed to chris@stockmanphoto. but none get forwarded from inside of sytist.
My clients are also telling me they are not getting email confirmmations.
And My stockmanphoto@gmail.com account is not getting any orders or new accounts emails forwrded to me.
This is rather frustrating that it works 1 day and stops working the next day with NO chnages made by me to any settings.
ALL help would be appreciated to continue running smoothly.
