Sneak Peak To The New Way To Add / Manage Photos For Collections (packages).

The next update will include a redeveloped way your customers add & manage photos for the collections. I feel this will be a huge improvement, especially on mobile.

To test for mobile on your computer just resize your browser. 

Here is a link to a sample gallery.

Click / tap a photo and add a package to cart. Then you will see the new system. Each package is a little different, some with options and some without.

If you have any feedback, let me know. 

One thing I have not completed yet is the extra photos / extra new photos option and several other things to tweak out.

This is great! Although i did not have very many customer problems with the original, but people will love this. EXCELENT JOB!!

It will, I just haven't gotten to that part yet.

One query, will this be the only method allowed come the next update, or will we have a choice?  Changing such an important interface during the peak academic year period may be unwise for our circumstances.   

We can always hold out on updating though if necessary.   

I've asked a few people and they like the changes.

This will be the only method available by the next update.

I like the changes,   I do have a question on the packages.   Right now I do a single image with on the packages.  At the same time I made another pricing tier where they can choose one of three backgrounds (all are free) how will that work with this I would like to be able for them to do backgrounds with this also?

It will still work the same adding products to cart like that.

BTW you can ask for a background selection on the order at checkout by using the "Additional Order Fields / Options " in the price lists and making it a graphic option. 

You can also make it as an option on the package.

Though these will export differently.

This would work great for us if there was a way to prevent the package being split between different kids.

Scott, as Tim said it is basically the same as the present collection, just a new interface. You have to do that in your collection by selecting "Do not allow adding photos to this collection from different galleries or sub-galleries" in your collection setup.

Not being pushy ( just excited! ) - when is the ETA on this update Tim?
I'm hoping to hold back some galleries just in order to be able to use it!

Hard to say. As soon as next week or 3 weeks from now.

Looking closer to the end of the month/beginning of December at this time.

What is the difference on the first two packages - 10 downloads no image options, selections only no image options?

I have put them both in a cart, but they both seem to react the same as far as adding 10 images - what did I miss?

They act the same way since neither have any options to select.
