Paypal Ipn Not Working

Im currently still using version 3.6.1 . Within the last month i have been getting calls from my customers that they pay via Paypal but the website still shows not paid. I checked my Paypal account and it shows the funds are there. 

I did receive the following email from Paypal:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications

(IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://www.memoriesbyrivera.com/sy-inc/store/payment/paypal-standard-return.php

Would this be an issue with my website host, the program or Paypal 

...

I contacted PayPal and they said the URL was wrong.

Can you tell me what URL in the program does PayPal IPN is suppose to be directed  to ?

You are using a version 4 years old, so I am guessing this was working fine before.

You should consider updating your Sytist 

But looking at the URL you posted, looks like it is #1 here:  Sytist Manual > Common Issues -> Customer Paid By PayPal Standard Business But No Order Is Created

You have the IPN URL set in your PayPal account to go to a wordpress page which is making it not work.

Log into your PayPal account and go here:

https://www.paypal.com/merchantnotification/ipn/preference

Click Choose IPN Settings.

Delete the Notification URL and check "Do not receive IPN messages (Disabled)" and save.

Hi Tim, I followed your directions, made a mock purchase and still nothing.. The web site is not getting any payment notifications from paypal.. 

I know it points to a word press URL... is there a correct URL that I could enter...

Ive had your program since the start with no problems until last year.

Go to the IPN history in your PayPal account and look at the details for that last payment and post a screenshot of the details like you did above. 

Are you also taking payments from a wordpress site?

Im not taking any payments on a WP site.. 

Also i posted another topic where the pricing does not show when you select to purchase a photo..

That 503 error it is showing means service unavailable  and the server can not handle the request. It could be your host is blocking the IPN from PayPal.

Maybe your host can track down those IPN calls to that /sy-inc/store/payment/paypal-standard-return.php file and see if something is blocking.

The issue is with the server somewhere, not the Sytist software causing the issues.

Hello Tim, Im so sorry to bother you again. I spoke to my server / Bluehost and they stated that they do not see anything blocking the IPN. I did send you an email regarding my pricing no loading and gave you a FTP account and admin account on my Sytist site. If you have the time to look it over from a developers view I would appreciate it.. Thank you in advance.

Leave Bluehost they are the worst, you will never get anywhere with them. I had nothing but issues with them. I also noticed that your notification url is Http and not Https, I believe paypal requires Https.

I did a test purchase for $1. Send me screenshots of what it shows in the IPN history in your PayPal account.

I notice the IPN URL starts with http .... not httpS and probably the problem.

I made the required change so I suspect it will work now.

I made another mock purchase and still the IPN doesnt reach the web site to show that it was paid.. I dont know what is wrong.. here is the latest information.

Delivery status shows Queued so the IPN was not even sent at that time. Has it changed? You may have to contact PayPal about that.
