Offering Specific Photos In A Gallery At A Specific Download Size

I would like to offer parents 7x5 portrait prints (only available at 7x5) and a Sports Team photo (only at 10x8)

How would I achieve this if the photos are in the same gallery?

My present thinking is:

1) Show a parent their individual portrait and class photo (in the same password-protected gallery

2) Offer a download only, a 7x5 (individual) print (which comes with download) and a 10x8 (class) print (with 'do not allow download' selected on this specific image.) I'm hoping/guessing that if they select the 10x8, the option for download only will not be visible in their price list?

3) Instruct parents to make sure they select the appropriate print size for their print.

I suspect it will get over complicated if I try adding an 'extra prints' section, given that I'm really trying to operate to price-lists in the same gallery...

Override the price list for the sports team photo.

Ah, that's brilliant, thank you!

Interestingly, on testing my previous 'workaround', although I'd selected 'do not allow download' on the image itself, a message comes up on the customer's price list that the image is not available for download, BUT.. If they then select the 7x5 option (+ download) they *can actually retrieve that download after payment!

So my workaround would not have worked in this instance.

Assign one price list to all individual photos (5x7 download only), and one price list to team photos (8x10 download only or print only which ever you prefer).  I would make a product called 5x7 player (Etc) and then Team 8x10 each on there own price list. If you want to offer more print and download options. you can make each product "Must buy First" before it unlocks additional options. By creating your own product group on each price list.

Yes, pretty much what I have done now.

2 price lists. One default one for the 7x5s and the other one as an 'override' applied to the 10x8s

Thank you

No, that does not work the same, that is why they are able to change the size. it is two separate price list, there is no way they could order any other size wit two price lists.

But It does appear to be working successfully for me.

Click on the portrait and you are offered 7x5 print and/or download

Click on the group photo and you are offered 10x8 print

I can't see another way of applying more than one price list within a single gallery without using 'override' on the group image.

does it do this https://www.throughmylens.photo/?r=e1797c because they can not change the size or type with each image set up like this.

when in the admin side gallery open photos. Then select each photo you want to change the price list on. At the bottom of the screen you will see change price list. So to make it easy set the whole gallery to player price list and only change the team photo to the team price list.

Yes. Exactly that.

I'm interested to know how you assigned those price lists.

Did you check the box for each image and select 'change price list'?

If so, I *think the only difference in our approach is that I set a default price list for the entire gallery, and simply overrode it for the group photo

Yes like the pic above first set your price list in the gallery to the player price list before uploading. Then select all your team photos, it will change all the team photos to the team price list. does that make sense?

You are welcome, then to get it not to allow other purchases, make the download and team photo required first. You do that on each price list, just edit the group that you want required. see photo
