Partial Or Total Refund On An Order Not Reflected In Event Total

I asked a question before about how to reflect a total or partial refund in an order.
Time directed me to the order edit facility and that worked.
However, I was just reviewing a recent event where I refunded a full order and adjusted the order to show zero paid.
I noticed the income total for the event did not change, so in fact was incorrect.
But if I deleted the order completely the event total, and I presume the montly and annual income totals, were recalculated.
Is there any way to get the event total and other income totals to be recaculated when a partial or full refund in given and the order total adjusted without deleting the order completely, which of course is not relevant where a partial refund is given.

The stats and sales you see for a gallery is totaling the cart items basically, not the actual order totals, because orders can have photos from multiple galleries.
If you change the status to Trash for a fully refunded or, it will not calculate it in the gallery stats. Trash won't completely delete the order, but it won't calculate it in any sales totals.
