Using Print Credit Towards Wall Galleries

I do have a bit of a tricky problem and would love to know if someone knows a workaround for that.

My price list includes collections with print credit and products this print credit can be used for. Beside single image products I also sell wall galleries that combine images in different sizes. I created these wall galleries as collections. BUT (and this is the big problem) The print credit included in collections will not work for collections that include either products or other collections. The credit only works for collections where no images have to be selected. I have set one up that is an album with all the images, so my clients don't have to choose any images and the credit works fine with this one.

So...Does anyone know a workaround how to let my clients choose the images for their wall galleries without doing it manually after they purchased the gallery?

I thought maybe set up the gallery as a normal product so the print credit will work and then also set it up as a free collection so they can choose the desired crop. But that seems a bit complicated...

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Julia

Print credits do work with a collection that contains 2 collections. And they can select photos for both collections included in the collection.

One collection for individual prints that are includes and another collection for the wall gallery photos  for example.

The admin list of print credits may not show it properly being multiple collections, but it does work.

Mh...So in that case, could you give me a hint what I might be doing wrong?

The images attached show the collection that includes the print credit, the collection that includes the other collections and the final cart, that shows that the print credit is not used for the collection with the collections.

Collections don't include print credits.

Print credits include collections.

Print credits allow you to offer prints and / or downloads to your customers at no cost.

Basically a print credit is a collection/package so you will need to create a collection first for what is included in the print / download credit in Photo Products - Collections

I guess i don't understand what it is you are trying to accomplish.

Sorry if I used the wrong terminology here. When I set up a collection there is a field called credit. Here I can set up an amount that can be used to purchase additional products. But it does not work for collections and so it doesn't work for my wall galleries.

That is the "print credit" I mean.

Correct. That "credit" included in the collection will only apply to a la cart products and not other collections.

You would create a collection that includes both collections.
