Hello All I have a few questions about QR/ Barcodes. Has anyone added this to their site? I would love to see this added to Sytist. I do not want to use Sytist part of the time then when Sports roll around use G..P.... for ordering. For a volume photographer QR/ Barcodes is a must now days. I want to see whom I am taking photos of. I would really love to use only one site. With T-Ball right around the corner and we shoot about 100 kids a night 3 night a week for 3 weeks. QR codes would be very helpful when ordering or preorder.
I would even pay more to see this function added
Tim is this something you have on the books to add to Sytist?

Gotphoto is software as a service, where you upload your images to their server which relies heavily on cloud computation to assign data to images from QR codes. Sytist is self hosted on your server, under your control and relies on you already embedding the necessary data prior to image upload.
Benefits and disadvantages to each method of course, but I recommend you decide on your system based upon its current abilities.
Of course, Sytist is capable of working with embedded EXIF and filename data perfectly well when data is embedded by you beforehand. I shoot many children per year running a school photography company (3.5k was my largest in a single day), and every one are traceable through their EXIF and filename data.
If you continue to use Sytist, how you get that information into, or attached to, your images is up to you. There are options available, including the few here : https://www.picturespro.com/support-forum/sytist/index.php?t=42607-ideas-for-keeping-track-of-passcodes-for-events

Entagged has a beta that I’m testing right now that lets you import a JSON list. You can select the name on your phone in the app, and that name from list you imported gets written into the metadata for you. GotPhoto has an early integration with it (they’re both German companies), and they let you import your pre-sale lists via the app. You can export your presale data from Sytist, reformat it to JSON, and read it from Entagged when the public version comes out. What would be ideal is if Sytist had an easy Entagged list export function that would just export the name list for you from your presales.
