I have a top menu and side menu. On the Mobile menu both display.
I would like only the top menu to display on mobile. How's that accomplished?

The side menu should not be displaying on mobile unless you have added code to make it display. Some items may mix from both menus into the mobile menu. There is not an option to change it.

I do not recall adding code for it, but over the years, it certainly is possible. Where would I look for it?

Either in Design -> Edit My Theme in the additional CSS section. Or in Design -> Header & footer.
The side bar should not be visible on mobile.
