Installing Google Fonts Within Sytist

For the sake of speeding up the page load times when using Google Fonts, I have downloaded the 3 Google Fonts I use. I want to install them on my server, rather than linking from Google. Can that be accomplished? If so, what folder is used to download them. And, will they link the same as if linking from Google?

I don't know off the top of my head. You would need to google it.

But I doubt it would speed things up. I would guess it would actually slow it down.

The theory is that anytime a website has to reach out to separate server to download a font it oftentimes delays the page speed response times.

The metrics I use are showing just that.

Rather than pointing Google Fonts to a 3rd party server I want to include them within my Sytist where the standard fonts are, thus eliminating the delay for the fonts to load.

I have downloaded the 3 Google fonts I use to my computer.

Where can I locate the Fonts folder within and to install on Sytist?

Will they now appear in the standard fonts area of the theme once in the standard fonts folder in Sytist?

Pretty sure Google fonts would be cached and would load quicker.

Any ways, there is no fonts folder. It doesn't work that way. You would have to upload the fonts somewhere and use CSS in the additional CSS section of your theme.

It won't show as an available font either.
