Is there a way to block ip addresses or sites from accessing our website? I've noticed yandex.ru as a referrer on my stats page and had no idea who they were. They are a Russian search engine. Can I block them?

Yes you can.
Go to > settings > security > add websites and > ip address to block.
Also, go here
https://www.countryipblocks.net/country_selection.php
to locate a list of ip addresses to block certain countries.
I have blocked most all countries known to be spammers. Works well but sometimes one will show up.

You might want to ask your host about it. From what I have read, different methods are hit and miss. Your host might have a good way to block them.
