Notes On Cart Images

A lot of people that write notes on the shopping cart don't hit save below the note. So when they leave the page to proceed with checkout, all notes get lost. This has happened on several occasions, where clients say they left us detailed notes, but we don't receive them. Is there any way that there can be an autosave? Or before they leave the page, it comes up with a browser "are you sure" warning, if there are unsaved note fields?

The update note needs to be clicked to save the note. There is not an option for a warning or anything else at this time.
You can go to Design -> Page Text, search the page (CTRL+F) for update note and change it to something like this (red & bold)

I have bold red text and extra css styling, but people are consistently missing the save function regardless. If a browser popup or similar feature could possibly be included in an upcoming release, that would be great!

It seems to be happening more with us that people are saying they are leaving a note, but we are not getting them.

Bumping this up as this is happening alot with my orders and customers are getting frustrated stating they put notes on the order and when I get it, there is no notes there. This didn't happen with photo cart so trying to see how to fix.
