Photo Filter Option In Gallery Creating Broken Image With Images Hosted On S3

Hi

I've been successfully using the Amazon S3 option for the last few galleries and love that it will help keep my nodes limit under control with my hosting service as well as the speed.

However, I've just found out that when I or a client clicks on one of the images (from a gallery where the photo filter options are enabled on the price list) and selects a photo filter like 'black and white' the image disappears and displays a broken link placeholder. This happens whether the price list with the filter was assigned before or after uploading the images to S3.

Is this a known bug with a work around? I'm really hoping so..

Thanks

Mark

I just tested this and it did work. Can you email me a link to a galley with password if needed so I can see?

Ah, ok, something must be amiss with my install or settings. I've sent you an email with a gallery link and password.

Many thanks

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm having this exact same problem, been close to a year now, but just got around to searching for a solution.

Can anyone tell me what the resolution was on this problem?

Thanks!

Hi Scott

Found the email Tim sent me from back in 2015 regarding this:

---------------------------------

Here is the error that is being produced which is causing the issue:

Warning: copy() [function.copy]: http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0

This is a PHP setting. That allow_url_fopen value needs to be set to 1 (on). If you have access to the php.ini file you may be able to change it or see if you hosting company can change it.

----------------------------------

I sent him the follwing back:

-------------------------

I put a php.ini file with that one line in the root of the store folder and it now works perfectly.

-------------------------

Hope that this is the same problem and then it helps you

Cheers

Mark
