Early Bird Discounts On Print Options

I'm having the same issue. Customers add a mounting option to their order that should make them eligible for the early bird special discount...but the discount isn't applied to their order.
Is there a fix for this somewhere that I haven't found yet?
We just stopped using store products :(
I went back to my "Photo Products - Product Base" page and reviewed the product in question. It's "Product Type" is "Other"...if I change it to "Print", will that solve the problem??
Michael, he is not referring to "Store" products.
