Uploading Folders To Create Subfolders Not Working

I'm trying to upload photos to a new event gallery and have the upload folders to create sub galleries selected but they are just dumping all photos into the one main gallery I've created. I know it's been a minute since I created a new event gallery but I don't recall it being this difficult? What am I missing?

If you are checking the box to upload folders to create sub galleries and it is not creating them then your browser or operating system doesn't support the webkitRelativePath property which is needed to for this to work with folders.
Try a different browser.
