Watermarking On Downloads

When I use the Watermarking within the Stylist system, clients can down load the images and the Watermark will disappear when purchased and downloaded.
I have tried to use my own specific watermarking, but the watermark still stays on the images when downloaded.
Is there a way around this or do I need to make the Watermark a certain size.
Thanks for any suggestions in advance,
Ideally I wish to use my own Watermark, where clients after purchase can download the image without the watermark on the images.

Yes, they can download without the watermark if Sytist is applying the watermark in upload.
