Could you look into incorporating this software as an alternative to Green Screen.
remove.bg
This software does a great job of removing the subject from the picture without a green screen. It will remove the subject from any background.

It would be nice but, there are many problems with this. One is it would take huge amounts of resources on your server. You would have to upload original files that have already been tweaked or corrected so can you imagine how long it would take to load a page of 48mb files on your customers end. Many use Amazon S3 for storage so your storage cost and transfers would start really costing a lot. So what i mean about that is you will have your first upload transfer cost plus storage, then transfer to their site then transfer back all of this adds up quick plus the cost they charge to remove the background. It is not a stand alone program it is a HTTP program even if you used it on your system, plus it does not work with lightroom which most photographers are using. Just the cost per image alone shooting a sport like hockey with team and individual photos would cost a bundle your profit would be gone. This is not bad for someone that wants to only do a few images like this but not a good workflow for large events.

Just not realistic for most here i suspect.

One single school through this service would cost me more than the total cost of photo key pro 8 / imerge desktop software which extracts perfectly. And you'd get a better result, as their algorithms are not fully removing the green from my sample (see attachment).

If it was very small scale, then maybe. But if that was the case, it would just be easier to send them directly and have them return alpha channel .pngs which you can upload to your sytist.
