Image Display Order

I uploaded a set of low rez images of an event, total of 312. The file names are numeric and in ascending order. The set of images are sorted correctly as displayed in the PHOTOS area of the program but when uploaded with the program or FTP, several groups of images are shifted in the display order.
For example, in the online thumbnail view of all images this is the order in which the images are displayed;
001 - 160
201 - 220
161 - 180
221 - 260
181 - 200
281 - 300
261 - 280
301 - 312
This IS a GoDaddy site which I know has it's issues, but this is a new one for me. Any suggestions as how to get the images to display in ascending order online?

So 1) You can upload with the uploader and they are in the correct order but 2) when you upload via FTP they are not in the correct order?
If that is correct, then it is the way the server is ordering the photos when they are waiting to be processed. Nothing I can do about that.
Uploading directly from the admin instead of FTP would be easier especially with a few hundred photos.
While in the photos tab of the gallery in the admin there is a rearrange tab to re-sort them.

As the attached photos in the OP reveal, the files appear in ascending order in the Photos tab of the gallery in the admin. It was the public view where the images appeared out of order and it didn't matter which way the files were uploaded.
I don't understand this, but I found that while viewing the online gallery at my site and clicking on ALL PHOTOS, the sort order changed. Clicking on All PHOTOS messes with the order again. It took several clicks to get back to the correct order. I believe it's all good now.
