Well it finally comes to the time after many years of being a loyal customer of Tim and Pictures Pro that I will no longer recommend his product and will have to start searching for a new platform. In response to an email about the functionality of the pre-order not working in a way that actually makes sense I got a response from Tim that "It might be time for you to look for another system to use".
I am really disappointed with this response considering I have been a loyal paying customer since PhotoCart and have even offered to pay extra for some of the features to work in ways that make sense and will not turn off my clients from ordering. The Pre-Order feature that was released is flawed MASSIVELY many of my clients that ordered can no longer go in and select the images because the orders are left open and cannot be completed until the images are in the gallery to select, yet if they try to place an unrelated order they are forced to checkout with whatever is being left in the system for their pre-order. This should NEVER have been released in this way except by someone who is rushing features without proper testing. If you want to push out features so flawed they should be offered as a BETA to clients willing to test and go through the growing pains rather than sent out to paying clients that expect websites to work properly when they are on your system and question your competency when the system doesn't work. It's UNPROFESSIONAL and this system is supposed to be for PROFESSIONAL photographers.

You're right. I did say it might be time for you to look for another system because this one is no longer a fit for you.
Good luck.

It has nothing to do with no longer being a fit it has to do with pushing out features that don't work. If you are going to sell a product for professionals it should be professional. Us professionals rely on what we pay for to actually work in a way that makes sense and is not confusing or has weird restrictions. It should work before it is released so we don't have to explain how to use it without messing up an order that a client paid for. Maybe you should consider the situations you put your customers in before rushing to put out a feature

Maybe you are no longer a fit for professionals and should market yourself to Hobbyists??

You are probably right Tim. I'll be sure to do that.
Thanks for letting me know how I should be doing things.

I am just returning the favor. I didn't appreciate that email. I have be a customer for over 7 years now and have supported and recommended you to everyone I know in the industry. I have given you thanks, been patient with features and waited for updates that would add additional functionality. I'm sorry if this has become too much for you to manage but I have to put food on my family's plate too and I rely on this to work for that to happen. When I lose a customer because my site doesn't work or I have to issue a refund for an unhappy client, that cost me money. So yeah I want it to work as advertised.
