Hi. I am having a problem where the IP addresses of visitors aren't correct and seem quite random. Also, when I try to view a page that is set to require visitors to be logged in, I too have to log in with a user account to view the page and of course, my activity is then logged in the stats. Any help regarding these issues is much appreciated. Thank you!

How exactly are the IP addresses not correct?

The same user will have a string of random ip address and is recorded as a new visitor for each page/gallery/subgallery they visit and not a returning one, also, stats reporting USA internet explorer when it should be reporting AUS chrome.

That sounds more like bots crawling your site, like a google bot or spam bot. I see them from time to time. Are you sure it is doing that for real visitors? What is one of the IP addresses?

It actually happens mostly when I myself am browsing my pages.. stats show my name but a different ip with each new click, and it's definitely me and not a bot. Ideally, I would like it not to track me at all, but the gallery I am working on is set to 'require to view' and unfortunately that seems to include the admin also.
Update1: It seems the ip problem may be my own site navigation, my every hit (on my website) logs random ip addresses. If I could access 'require to view' pages with just my admin credentials so my traffic doesn't track to the stats I would be very grateful.
Update2: Upon further investigation, it appears that my visits are mirroring that of an amazon bot (us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com) and a trend micro bot? I have blocked the suspect ip addresses and everything is as it should be. Thank you for pointing me in the direction of a bot.. although I can't for the life of me understand why it was attached to my own browsing activities. Just to be clear, the stats are no longer recording my activity so the problems were linked and had nothing to do with your wonderful software.

Sounds like something like an add-on to your browser might be doing that. Very strange though.
BTW, you can have the stats not record your visits while you are also logged into the admin in Settings -> Admin/Main settings and the "Ignore admin in visitor stats" option.
