Problem With Authorize.net And Transition From Shopping Cart To Order

Tim,

After and exhaustive investigation and many hours on the phone with authorize.net and the hostmysite I believe that we have an issue with the sytist shopping cart. I continue to get this error intermittently. "An error occurred while trying to report this transaction to the merchant. An email has been sent to the merchant informing them of the error. The following is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card. Transaction approved "

The error comes back immediately, there is not a delay from the server nor are their faults in the server log. Authorize.net says they are looking for the return URL. I have tried both the default URL and putting a URL in the required spot in authorize.net and that does not fix the problem.

See following links for ideas.

I never had this problem with photocart. One reason that I do not think I did or at least didn't know I did is photocart converted the shopping cart to an order then ran the authorize.net verification and approval. If there was a problem I still say the order but it was marked not paid. Sytist does not transition what is in the shopping cart to and order until it thinks it is paid for. In my current situation it is paid for and captured by authorize.net net but not changed to an order in sytist. What makes things worse is I have no way in sytist to manually mark an order as paid that I know of unless it is setup as pay by cash or check. I would ask you to consider setting up sytist like photocart for manual payment options.

So...there is something not communicating between systist and authorize.net. Would you entertain a conference call with me, authorize.net and yourself?

Does authorize.net record in their backend the URL that is sent to relay to? If so, can you email me that link?

Tim,

Authorize.net has a place in the setting where I can define what the Default Receipt URL is as well as the Default Relay Response URL. Authorize.net has suggested that I enter the url in those two locations. However, what do the want for the url? Is this what you are asking about?

Hello Tim,

I have switched to a new Gen4 server and new IP address at godaddy and am having this problem that I had before where a customer places an order and checks out. Authorize.net processes the credit card order but sytist is not acknowledging it as paid. I cannot remember how this got fixed 7 years ago. It appears you emailed me some information. Do you remember the solution?
