I have an issue with the last two albums I posted not matching the images I loaded. They are flat, dark and have no color saturation. It reminds me of when I had a photo lab and the files did not have the correct profile. I did have to edit these on a different computer where my regular settings were not already there. The files look great on all the computers I have tried, but they look awful on the website. Has anyone else had this problem?

Your images need to be in sRGB, sytist does not process your images. Your images are processed by GD Library and that is a service your hosting company installs on your server. You can check in your control panel in MyPhP and make sure GD Library is checked.

Your images need to have the sRGB color profile. When they don’t have that color profile, it can make the images washed out or off color.

The reason is when images are uploaded, they are processed (resized, watermarked) with what is called the “GD Library” on the server and there is a long standing bug in the GD Library that loses the color profile when the images are processed. And without the color profile information, it automatically assumes sRGB.
