We did the test to confirm that our chron job is working properly. But now I am confused as to which boxes I should have checked to ensure that my automated reminders actually go out. I assume we should check the box by Enable Automated Emails AND uncheck the box next to Test Mode. Is that correct? If not, please tell me what it should be.

That is correct. check the box by Enable Automated Emails AND uncheck the box next to Test Mode.
