My customers (and now I) have gotten the error message that "max questions" have been exceeded. I contacted my provider and they said I have 750,000 queries allowed per hour and then it resets.

How many "queries" does one simple action take? There is no possible way I have 750,000 individual views taking place in an hour. I tried to get my number of queries changed to unlimited but they do offer that option at my host.

Short of paying $300 dollars a year to double the number and hope it works does anyone have a suggestion or fix?

I have only seen this with a couple of hosts (ipage one of them) with that limit which is really low because there can be a lot of queries happening. It's not how many visitors but how many queries.

If the limit cannot be removed, here is something to try.

Download and edit the sy-config.php file in a text editor like notepad from your Sytist installation folder on your website or open it in the file manager in your hosting control panel.

In your hosting control panel go into the MySQL section and create 3 new MySQL users (or more) and give them the same password as the existing user. You can see that password in the sy-config.php file ($setup['pc_db_user']).

Assign those users to your Sytist database in the MySQL sections of the hosting control panel.

At the bottom of the sy-config.php file before the closing PHP tag ?> ... add these lines and enter in the existing database user and the 2 new ones.

$db_user_array[] = "user_name1"; //enter 1st user name
$db_user_array[] = "user_name2"; //enter 2nd user name
$db_user_array[] = "user_name3"; //enter 3rd user name

Save and re-upload.

Doing this will select a random database user each connection and may help with how many questions per database user.
