Come Back And Choose Distorts Gallery Number Of Orders Figure
Hi Tim - We are paying commission this year on number of orders instead of a percentage of dollars taken. Noticed that when you use come back and choose it adds a zero dollar order in to the total. Can you think of a better way to get an accurate number of orders other than downloading csv and sorting by order total?
Wouldn't the number of orders be the pre-orders?

Hi Tim, firstly thank you for your time, I can't imagine how much time it takes to keep us all afloat. Re my query: I am looking in stats and sales? should I be looking somewhere else to see pre sales? We open a gallery with pre sales and when the shoot and artwork is done we upload images and people either come back and choose or those who wanted to 'view before buy' purchase then do so. We do often manually record the number of presales but that would not give us the number we are after. Thanks again. Darrell
What you probably need to do is have 1 gallery for pre-orders then a different one for the photos. Then the one with the photos will have the number of sales of pre-orders of those who have come back to select photos, and any new orders.
If it is in the same gallery, then you will basically get 2 orders for each pre-order when they come back to select photos.

Thanks Tim, as we have advertising with links over the campaign (and if they change it causes problems) I will stick to the work around at present. As it may save me testing an alternate theory. If we had a single gallery (advertised link) and then a sub gallery for pre orders and then add a sub gallery for the photos later when they become available - could that work? I can see there are values for "Sales from Sub Galleries" but not how many orders
Hi Darrell - I do what Tim is suggesting .. I have a generic passcode for pre-orders ( sep gallery, lets call it CLASS 2024 PRESALES ) and everyone can order using passcode -PRESALE-
Then I do the work and everyone now has an individual code and I upload these to a new gallery CLASS 2024 GALLERIES. I ignore data in the first gallery as the 2nd will include presales and those that aftersale, so this is the accurate reading.
Thanks for that explanation. I'll get my head around that
