Update Collection In Shopping Cart

Is there a way that if I change a collection/package it will reflect if it is already in a customer's cart? I had a collection set to choose 25 prints of a 4x6 OR a 5x7, but instead of 25 it is telling them they need to choose 50 prints before they can check out. I don't want them to start over as they have already chosen 24 to put in the collection. I updated it all so if you start over and add it to your cart it shows how it should be. The only thing I can see to do would be to create and order and manually do it by sending her an invoice now. I have a feeling she is going to checkout as a guest so she isn't a registered user and doesn't understand what I mean when I tell her to create and account. Ha.

Changing the collection won't change what is in their cart. But you can edit that collection and uncheck the option " Require all products to have photo selected." and they should be able to checkout without having to select a photo for all the products.
